3. PLAN OF THE RETREAT

Lord Jesus:  The retreat will last for a week. Each day the priest will receive a teaching and a task to examine his own heart. This will be followed by a time of penance. Every day he will offer to Me the Way of the Cross as penance for his own sins and neglects. During this time, the priest should go to the sacrament of Penance; and if there is such a need, the circumstances indicate so, and the priest desires a real transformation for his heart and his life, he should undergo a general confession according to the teachings he will hear during these retreats. I will also dictate to you the Way of the Cross for priests, which they will pray at that time. Now I bless you. I will start the teaching tomorrow. Amen.

Lord Jesus:  Daughter, now prepare the retreat, complementing it with psalms and passages of the Holy Scripture that I have indicated to you. I want the contemplation of these fragments of the Scriptures to be an important part of this retreat. Only after contemplating the text preceding the teaching, the priest should read the proper teaching for that day. After the teaching, he will receive the subsequent fragment of the Holy Scriptures, which should accompany him in his thoughts that day. This entire meeting with My Word should be preceded by a prayer to the Holy Spirit. From tomorrow I will begin to dictate to you the priestly Way of the Cross. I bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

During the time of the retreat

  1. Morning prayer and breviary
    • Lauds (30 minutes)
  2. Holy Mass (60 minutes)
  3. Breakfast
  4. Contemplation of the Holy Scriptures before the conference of the day (30 minutes)
  5. Meditation upon the conference of the day (60 minutes)
  6. Contemplation of the Holy Scriptures after the conference of the day (45 minutes)
  7. Way of the cross (60 minutes)
  8. Meal
  9. In the evening, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (2 hours)
    • Rosary
    • Breviary
    • Contemplation of the conference from the previous day (30 minutes)
    • Evening prayers
