Saint Andrew Bobola: The reality of Heaven is so perfect that if you could see it now, you would not worry at all about your sufferings. Believe me that this martyrdom was the most wonderful thing that happened in my life. It became the source from which I draw the reward for all of eternity. Faith adds the strength to endure the most terrible torments, … faith, do not lose faith, do not give up, believe and never doubt. God is so great, He is the reward exceeding all concepts and merits. Never be afraid to suffer for Christ, because He is so sweet and gentle. In His Blood all blood is purified, in His suffering all suffering is sanctified and there is no torture, which would be cruel and terrible enough so that it could compensate the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ.
