JESUS IS LAID IN THE TOMB

Way of the Cross - Station 14

We adore You, O Christ and we bless You, because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.

Lord Jesus:  I have died to the world and was placed in a tomb. My body rested safely. In complete silence, I awaited the day of My victory. Remember My son, your body must also rest in a tomb. You must die to the world in order to resurrect for Me. Free yourself from the world, which competes with Me for your heart. Bury the idols that would like to take My place in your life. Free the body from temptations by avoiding all opportunities for them to arise. Let Me put your body in a tomb. It means that I will immerse it in mortifications, denying it its pleasures. Only when your body will rest in a tomb, your spirit will break free to fly up to the Father. The body will always hold you near the ground.

Place your body in the hands of Mary. She will wrap it linens and place it in the tomb. Through Her prayers, she will stop the cordons of demons lurking about your body like predatory vultures circling over carcasses. Let Me hide you for the duration of your short life in Her Immaculate Heart, so that no one will steal your body. Tell Me: “Yes”, so I can roll over the stone and seal your tomb. Now, await in peace the meeting with the Holy Spirit the Vivifier, who will resurrect you to a completely new, holy life, a life for Me.

Our Father …
Hail Mary …
Glory be …
Have mercy on us, O Lord.
Have mercy on us.
