LORD JESUS TAKES THE CROSS ON HIS SHOULDERS

We adore You, O Christ and we bless You, because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.

 

Lord Jesus:  The acceptation of the vocation means the acceptation of the cross. Remember who I am. I am the Savior of the world who redeemed mankind through the cross. I have called you to continue My work on Earth and to pour out My merits on souls. You agreed to follow Me, and now you are renouncing the cross? You renounce work without pay, celibacy, a life of mortification, a life of prayer? How do you want to continue My work without the cross? Instead of it, you choose pleasures, comfort, and entertainment, which the world gives you. I am giving you the cross, but in it, I contain the power of My love and care. You receive strength and consolation of the heart, which the other things will not give you. They will devastate your heart; make it shallow and compromise it. You will regress in development because of your sins, and you will be less and less able to continue My mission, and by the same token to fulfill your calling.

By taking the cross on My shoulders, I also took you with your priestly cross, so you would never have to carry it alone. The priest is never alone unless he throws Me out of his life through sin. Then, I must take away My protection and My blessing from him. However, as long as there is not any idol before Me, I will carry his cross together with him.
