BEGINNING OF THE ROAD OF THE CROSS

 

Lord Jesus:  The priestly vocation is the vocation to participate in My mission, My Sacrifice of the Passion and the death on the cross, and in My merits. The anointing received by the priest is a duplication of the anointing I received from the Father. On behalf of My Father, I impart it to those whom I will choose to continue My mission of the salvation of the world. The contemplation of My Passion is a very important part of the priestly life, so the priest might consciously celebrate the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass and be aware of how much each sin costs Me. I want every priest to be a great enemy of sin in all its forms, to recognize it in time, and to fight it with the power flowing from My Passion and Resurrection. The Way of the Cross is an image of these torments, which I suffer because of human sins, among which the most painful for Me are those inflicted to Me by priestly souls, who are the most beloved and privileged by Me.

So consider whether you accept your sin or are you rather fighting it by all means? Do you ask Me to give you the grace of a life without sin, so that I would not be wounded, beaten, nailed to the cross and killed by you? Thus, My son, always recite this Way of the Cross for your sins, asking Me to grant you the grace of holiness.
