Station XII
JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS
We adore You, O Christ and we bless You, because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
Lord Jesus: When I was lifted up on the cross, I begged for your soul, so that the Father would allow Me to raise her as high as I desire. My three-hour agony on the cross was the pinnacle of prayer and sacrifice. I offered all these three hours for priests, the flower of My Passion and, and the same time, its fruit. I begged for them to be preserved in grace. At that time, I have already forgiven you all priestly sins that will be crucifying Me through all human generations. The sins of the Pharisees delivered Me into the hands of executioners. Priestly sins renew My Sacrifice and multiply its torments in multitudes of souls, as if they were directing Me in the hands of multiple executioners, from among whom, however, I suffer the most acutely from My beloved ones. All scandal draws souls behind it. Neglect and egoism in the conduct of priests result in a lack of faith in the faithful.
And yet, I have instituted the priesthood and I do not regret it. A priest truly devoted to My Heart brings Me more joy and relief than a thousand sacrificial souls. How could I convince you, My sons, to fight to the death for holiness? How to convince you that without loving Me, you must not join My ranks? Only love has the strength to lift the cross. Only love has the strength to endure on it to the end. Let My agony and death be your strength. I cannot give you anything above that. My Passion on the cross is My most precious grace. Today, once again I am offering it for your soul, priest, so that you may live only for Me.
Our Father …
Hail Mary …
Glory be …
Have mercy on us, O Lord.
Have mercy on us.
