SIMON THE CYRENIAN IS HELPING JESUS TO CARRY THE CROSS
We adore You, O Christ and we bless You, because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
Lord Jesus: A faithful priest, a priest devoted to Me, is an invaluable treasure, a consolation for which I am looking for in vain among the onlookers. The pain of the past stations was so great that I will not manage to carry it anymore. My Mother obtains for Me the grace of the Cyrenean. He takes this heavy burden from Me, forced by Her prayers.
Just as without the Cyrenean, I could not continue My way of the cross; so without priests, I cannot continue My redemptive work. I need help in carrying this immensity of human sins and in making satisfaction for them.
Priest, although My cross weighs heavily on you, and My suffering frightens you and fills you with disgust, be close to Me and do not abandon our cross. If only you will be close to Me, you will soon receive the grace you need to persevere, to understand, and to accept your cross. Like Simon, you will open your eyes to the divine reality and see your calling to it. Today, I am calling precisely on you for help. Do not excuse yourself, so I would not have to force you by a serious illness or threat. Follow Me at My first call and help Me to get to the Golgotha, because there I will also redeem your soul and I will also pay off your debt. I promise you that you will receive the strength and the desire to carry this cross, as Simon received it. I know how to thank. I know how to be grateful. Risk everything to receive My gratitude.
Our Father …
Hail Mary …
Glory be …
Have mercy on us, O Lord.
Have mercy on us.
